I design tools to help people and organizations to achieve more, from tracking COVID spread, to transforming organizations for the remote era. I impact people who impact the world

About me

I am a product designer with both in-house and agency experience

If you are reading this, that means the run-of-the-mill “I am...” statement is not enough for you. People try to pack a life’s worth of experience into succinct few liners. But I, like everyone, have a pretty convoluted story to tell. Here it goes...

I was born and raised in Hong Kong, before moving to the US to study business. But I quickly realized I want to have a more direct impact on the people we are selling to. So I left college to explore what I want to do.

For 3 years, I worked in many jobs. But I eventually found design, where I can get my hands dirty on the small details that make life-changing impacts on others.

At the same time, while designing for many clients, I found many problems in our education, finance, healthcare, and government. These systems are impervious to change and entrenched vested interest to keep the status quo.

But I also see design as a catalyst to change. We empathize with people from all sides, show people what a future can look like, and build that future with engineers. So I decided to go back to school not just to hone my design, but to study people and learn to build with technology.

I believe design should be able to effect mankind. It is a humanitarian act. And I am committed to using design to better our fundamental system — education, finance, healthcare, and governance — so that we can live better.
